The JP+ Pajama Regional committee is passionate about the mission of "inspiring healthy giving around the world." Inspired to partner with Pure Hope Foundation, they are committed to supporting the PHF vision to restore the hearts and lives of young women who have been victimized by sex trafficking.
UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM
Sex trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in our nation, according to the U.S. State Department. Reputable studies estimate >200,000 young women from every race & socioeconomic class are trafficked in the U.S. daily, suffering unthinkable physical, emotional & mental trauma. This atrocity requires an intense, collaborative effort & why Pure Hope Foundation was established.
OUR VISION AND MODEL
Our vision at Pure Hope Foundation (PHF) is to strengthen families & restore survivors of sex trafficking. Since 2015, PHF has provided home, resourcing, programming & counsel to survivors. We provide a beautiful, safe place to live within a vibrant community along with comprehensive programming for young women needing long-term restorative care. This residential, therapeutic model offers healthy community, educational assistance & critical life skills. We partner with other safe homes, legal entities & advocacy groups to provide the next, critical step in survivors' healing journey. When women “age out” of first-stage safe homes or have been without meaningful intervention, up to 80% may end up being trafficked again because they have not had enough time or the resources to fully heal & gain necessary life skills to thrive independently. While first-stage programs serve as an essential step & help with stabilization, counseling & addiction rehabilitation, our second-stage services provide a critical role in the care continuum by providing life coaching, multifaceted therapies, extended counseling, financial literacy/restoration, communication & conflict resolution, educational/career assistance & job skill training.
WHERE DOES IT HAPPEN?
Pure Hope Ranch is a property in East Texas where we serve young women who have been victimized by trafficking. The Ranch is host a world class retreat center called The Inn. Here we host corporate and other team events as a service to the community around us and as a way to offer the young women we serve both income and job skills which will translate to the workforce such as hospitality, food preparation/service, property maintenance, and more. We also host trainings & events geared toward trafficking prevention & ending demand. These include weekend retreats for other advocates who are in need of equipping & respite from the difficult work of pouring into the lives of this population. In addition, we host events designed to raise up men of character as well as marriage and family retreats to teach value, identity & freedom. At Pure Hope Ranch, we are also in the process of establishing more residential homes, where we will serve more survivors. We envision hundreds being served here in the years ahead.
